This has been a stressful day (for Ken). First of all I, Ken, forgot to make the application for our Uganda VISA’s until this past weekend. (no excuse, except an old brain). I made the application wish a 3 day rush order, thinking they would get to us before we landed in Entebbe on Wednesday. So we made the drive to the Orlando airport with all our baggage, 6 suitcases and three carry on’s. (I did not say we were traveling light). My brother, Rob, was driving our car back for us and picking us us on our return, Thank you, Robert. Before I unloaded al the baggage I went inside to Customer Services just to make sure everything was good to go. Well. it wasn’t.
My plan and the Airlines regulations did not match up. We cannot board the airplane here in the States without having those VISA’a in hand. And we are only a few hours away from having to board the airplane. I called our travel agent and told her my tails of woe. She was very nice and told me it happens quite often. She did her magic on the computer and rebooked us for Friday the 22nd. We should have the Visa’s in hand and my brother is still willing to run our shuttle. We did extend our return from the 6th of September to the 10th.
